Catching Up....

I honestly don't know where to begin, my Dad passed away on January 12, 2018 after roughly an 18 month battle with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma caused from his exposure to agent orange during Vietnam. This has had profound impact on our family and has made my cancer journey even more difficult.  I have received MRI of my brain every three months since December 2016 and have been blessed with stable scans. In May 2018 I began having symptoms of blurred and double vision. It took until August to find the right doctors to identify that the cancer had returned as Leptomenigial Disease, which is the Metastatic Breast Cancer on the dura of the brain. It effects about 5% of patients and is often difficult to treat. I have undergone radiation and recently began Herceptin treatments through an ommaya resivior placed in my head.  Every time I walk past all of our project supplies my heart aches, but my fatique takes over.  The holiday season has always been so special to our family and therefore we are excited to complete some of our holiday projects.
